WE SHARE YOUR SADNESS

Yesterday in between patients, I peeked out of the room to watch the live telecast of the burial ceremony of our late first lady. Through out, I was observing how calm and composed our PM was . Yes, I thought, he was trying to put a tough front to maintain his integrity as a country leader. But at the same I was sure he would cry in private as I've heard a lot of his love for Puan Sri.

Today I saw this picture in one of the tabloid. Yes, he couldn't control his tears anymore. The thoughts of not having her around him anymore and the loneliness, must be so overwhelming to have opened the dam and let go the flood of tears...

It's ok Paklah. This picture shows the human side of you, your compassion and your gentleness. We will still respect you as a leader.

May Allah s.w.t give peace to her soul and give him the strength to carry on. Insyallah.

When I showered this morning the water was cold. I knew why, it had rained the whole day yesterday since morning till late afternoon. It seems the whole country was raining in sadness

my heart almost broke seeing him and his son so composed the whole way through... sort of reminded me the way princes william and harry kept their calm during their mother princess diana's funeral...

tapi dalam hati siapa tahu.

may she rest in peace... Al-Fatihah.

doctor, this may be somewhat an unrelated question to this entry, but have you ever heard of milk and dairy products being one of the cause of many diseases and health problems? like cancer? i refer to a few articles and sites that i found on the net:

i would really appreciate your input on this.

Nurelhuda- Yes, it was raining overhere too! Even the sun refuse to shine eh?

Crimson- Hmm what you've put up there is rather controversial. Firstly it's well-known that mother's milk is the best for babies, that some babies, children and adults too have cow's milk allergy. So for these people it's best to avoid milk. But saying milk can cause cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis (ironic isnt it?) just from observing the patern of food intake in those countries with high incidences of the said diseases, that is rather far-fetched I would think. To derive into such conclusions you need more scientific research/studies with comprehensive tools and parameters. Milk may cause any of the said diseases but remember along with milk we do take other food substances which may also be a causative agent. For example, the comercial meat chicken we eat nowadays are highly laden with antibiotcs which can cause numerous havoc in our body (hormonal and all). So that can be another toxic agent which we should look into. A few yrs ago I came across a promotion at a mall promoting a special diet from Japan that only consists of soup. These people also say that milk and all dairy products are bad for the body. Wallahualam. I really can't say. Maybe it's true or partially true. But if you feel strongly about it, then go ahead and substitute the milk calcium with other food substances. What say you Dr Suriya?

cuma my 2 cents thought, without Pak lah knowing...dah ada barisan candidates yang tunggu peluang untuk mengantikan Puan Sri, hanya Pak Lah saja belum conscious lagi.

Halela- who doesn't want to be the first-lady pronto, without having to wait and strive for years being a politican's wife?

Milk nowadays is not milk of the past. The best milk will be from NZEd cos it is the least polluted country right now.
So it is not milk perse but milk contaminated.
Milk minerals are still the best for bones so if you want to take milk minerals without taking milk, go see alterni.com website and order their Moo milk mineral product.
If at all it causes cancer it would be because of the damage done to the colon because of lactose intelerence and Asians tend to be lactos intolerent after 2 years of age.
I believe the taking of milk while being lactose intolerent makes the immune system go haywire with having to deal with the inflammation produced in the colon. This in turn leads to a leaky gut and various allergies.
Anyway ,having said all that, if you can digest your milk , and do not get diarrhea or kembong and have no excessive mucous or allergies, I suppose a moderate amount of milk is fine! I hardly take any except the one that has almost no nutritional value except carb and fat..namely the infamous susu pekat manis....I do supplement on the milk minerals...
BTW yoghurt is different because the lactose is not there anymore...
And the Prophet pbuh used to take milk but NOT cows' milk , the least digestable of the lot..he took goat's milk and unta milk..I think the molecules of these milk are smaller than that of cow's milk , hence more digestible for humans....

Taking milk and then taking full meals is also overnourishing I believe, because when the Prophet took milk, that was his entire meal!
